"But you have time to embroider." This sentence was uttered by someone close to me during a conversation. It may sound naive, accusatory, offensive, incomprehensible...

Time is very often a central theme in my work. Since becoming a mother, my relationship with time has changed and evolved considerably, and other units of measurement have emerged...

During this time, embroidery became the most feasible medium for me, one that I could take up anywhere, anytime. The worn-out, dirty baby clothes that provided the basis for my work immediately placed the text in a context that accurately reflected my life situation.

In my work, I first embroidered the text in its entirety, then embroidered the words and phrases separately, thus examining the different meanings of the words in their new context. Each piece in the series can be understood as a deeply thought-provoking revelation.
