I have always viewed clothing as "body objects," and I am primarily interested in the relationship between textiles and people. The summer of 2015, which I spent at the Watermill Center on Long Island, had a profound impact on me. Then I became more familiar with Robert Wilson's unique, visually-based performance art.
Among other things, this influenced me to later turn my attention to conceptual art.
Currently, I am involved in performance art, textile-based installations, and costume design.
My main area of creation is costume-centered performance. In this field, the focus is on the shaped material, and the boundaries between performing arts, visual arts, and industrial arts are blurred and dissolved within it. My most important medium is knitting, but I also work with embroidery and other textile techniques, and I am constantly exploring and researching the cultural and social significance of these activities. My works often reflect on my own life, so my frequent themes are motherhood, femininity, experiences of female roles, and analyses of these.
