TOUCH
2013.
neoprene, plastic
In my work, I expressed touch with visual means. The spikes inserted into the garment show the directions of touch and touchability. The spiked element that also covers the eyes refers to the relationships between the senses: is vision or touch more important? The insertion of the thousands of plastic quick-release bandages was a long, meditative process, while I was in continuous tactile contact with the material. This gave me the opportunity for new, more spiritual reflections on touch as a possibility of perception.
